To become a driving instructor (ADI) you need to have your name entered into the DSA 'Register of Approved Driving Instructors'. You can achieve this by passing 3 ADI exams.

To become a driving instructor you will need:

• To hold a full UK or EU car driving license & to have held this license for four out of the past six years
• To be a fit and proper person to have your name entered into the ADI register. Motoring offences still in force are taken into account when assessing your suitability to be entered in the ADI Register.
• To pass 3 ADI exams required for qualification - ADI Part 1, ADI Part 2 & ADI Part 3
• To not have been disqualified at any time during the last 4 years. A clean license is obviously best, 3 points isn't likely to be a problem, 5 points and you should contact us before going any further.

Our Instructor training is conducted by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , who has been a driving instructor for twenty nine years of which 27 years are as a trainer.

Other rates are ADI part 3 training is £35.00 per hour, part 2 training is £28.50 per hour, we also do Check test training at £28.00 per hour.
